We've gotten new starters, an Eeveelution, legendaries, and a new Mewtwo form. Now we get four new pokemon as well as a butt ton of information from CoroCoro.
CoroCoro revealed during the weekend that the new region of the sixth generation games is apparently the "Karos Region" and is an alternate pokemon version of France. You will also be able to better customize your playable pokemon trainer! Of course you can still choose between playing a boy or a girl, but now you can also choose things like hair color and skin tones!
The cover art for both versions of the game were also vaguely revealed, I say "vaguely" because the only images I can find or the covers are from the actually CoroCoro magazine and they can be quite difficult to see.
EDIT: I managed to find a larger image of the game cover arts, it is still not good quality and still from the CoroCoro magazine but with my weak photoshop skills I managed to crop out the two images from the other images from the magazine. Check it out below:
(NOTE: these new pokemon currently don't have their English names yet, but I will name them by their Japenese names)
This is Elikiteru-something. It is a lizard with (what I believe to be) rabbit ears. It a normal/electric type that can learn the move Parabola Charge, which heals the user and damages opponents.
I swear Pokemon can't get enough of birds! We have yet another normal/flying type bird pokemon named Yayakoma. This little guy can learn the move Nitro Charge, it is also said to have a singing voice which (again speculation from an overthinker) makes it sound like a possible pre-evolution pokemon to Chatot? Maybe? Chatot is able to mimic humans and stuff sooo...
This last guy is a panda named Yamchan, and is a fighting type (hopefully it evolves into Po from Kung Fu Panda!) it can learn the move Parting Remark. Finally pokemon creates another new pokemon from a new animal that has never been done before!
And for anyone who still wonders. No, Sylveon's type has not been revealed. However a new rumor strongly speculates that it will be a new "Fairy" type and that other older pokemon like Clefairy and Togepi will also be updated to "Fairy" type. But nothing is for certain yet.
