Voice cast for Fall of Cybertron / all characters revealed + more

The War for Cybertron sequel will have a large variety of voice actors, but which voice actors exactly? Well they got John Dimaggio (mostly famous for voicing Bender in Futurama) and Mark Hamill (Mostly famous for voicing the Joker and playing Luke in Star Wars) and of course Peter Cullen (who voices popular characters such as Optimus Prime and Eeyore). Other voice actors include John Kassir, Rick D. Wasserman. Brian Bloom, Alan Tudyk, James Horan and much much more.

A mass of characters were announced for the game too this includes characters Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Ratchet, Ironhide, Jazz, Cliffjumper, Metroplex, and the Dinobots (5 in total), villains include Megatron, Shockwave, Soundwave, Starscream, and the combiners who create the massive Bruticus (5 in total). But many many other characters are expected to appear.

High Moon developers also promise this game to head into "Groundbreaking variety" stating that, while the first game proved that a Transformers game can be good, this sequel will prove that Transformers can become an excellent game genre. This game will also include major detail in the level designs and character gameplay, the first game had only decent levels and gameplay for all characters were basically the same, and there character creating format will be "the greatest character designing function ever made". You'll be able to pick your character's looks, color, head and limb designs, weapons, vehicle mode, special move, perks and much more. You'll be able to play your creations online in ultimate multiplayer showdowns.

The game comes out on August 28th 2012...

Special Post: what games would be good launch titles for the Wii U?

First of all, we (mostly just me) have no idea what other games will come out for the Wii U for it's opening launch besides Darksiders II and possibly Assassin's Creed III and Aliens: Colonial Marines. But what other games will come out its opening launch? And I'm not just talking about Nintendo exclusives. Here are some games that, while not potential possibilities, could easily open up new doors for the Wii U:

Bioshock Infinite
I doubt this would come out on the Wii U, I doubt that any Bioshock based game would ever appear on a Nintendo console (My opinion) but a hugely anticipated game like this could easily make the Wii U that much more... well, attractive.

Prey 2
Ok, I know about the rumor of this game being canceled. But if it's not then it would still release for the Xbox and PS3, so why not the Wii U too? It's a fresh new start on the license, and also an interesting tale.

Resident Evil 6
This game will release in November, around the same time that Wii U is expected to release. What better way to release a new and highly anticipated sequel to a well beloved franchise? In fact, this game amongst every game I'm listing could be the most expected.

Xenoblade Chronicles
Could this game somehow get converted for a Wii U release?

Dragon's Dogma
I would indeed buy the Wii U if this game came out for it. But this game comes out in May, so it would be a longer wait to play this around November/December.

Prototype 2
I don't think many people are as excited for this game due to all the other better known titles coming out this year, plus the first game was a bit of a doozy. So maybe a Wii U release could help it out?

Transformers Fall of Cybertron
This game comes out in August, that's not too much of a wait for a Wii U version. Plus it would be nice to have a Gears of War style shooter game.

The Amazing Spider-Man
I don't know, what does everyone else think about this possibility?

Devil May Cry HD Collection
Yes, just freakin yes.

Any Mario, Zelda, or Nintendo based game
We shouldn't just think of non Nintendo brands. But Nintendo exclusive games will obviously come out for the Wii U, but could a legit title release on opening launch? Perhaps a new Zelda to make up for Skyward Sword?

Please, everyone decide for themselves in the poll

Bioshock creator Kevin Levine nominated to be on the list of 100 most Influental people in the world

Kevin Levine has been nominated for a spot in TIME Magazine in their epic list of 100 most influential people of 2012.

The list consists of many known icons such as Barack Obama, Brad Pitt, and even Zynga CEO Mark Pincus. You'll be able to vote for your favorite person on their epic poll, the poll ends on Friday April 6th.

Darksiders II will be a Launch title for the Wii U, will Assassin's Creed III and Aliens: Colonial Marines be Launch titles too?

It was announced a month ago that Darksiders II would be one of many launch titles for the coming Wii U console. It was also announced that Assassin's Creed III would also have Wii U versions, no word on whether it's a launch title however (as far as I know, I looked up stuff but found no confirmation). And today the two developers from Gearbox behind the upcoming Aliens game have given their appraise for their excitement over the Wii U, and the Aliens game on the Wii U will apparently offer more. The Wii U will fully reveal itself at E3 this year, and will come out this year, possibly around November or December.

What are your thoughts on the Wii U? Would you buy it just for the possible launch titles? Or perhaps maybe you want to wait and see what the future PS4 and Xbox 720 consoles have to offer?

Transformers Fall of Cybertron finally gets a Release Date / New trailer

We knew it would be coming in the fall, but this early? Fall of Cybertron will be released on August 28th and might get a Pre-order bonus at Gamestop.

The game, like told before, will be "a true successor to the first then just a simple sequel". The game will not feature 3-player online co-op like the first, but will focus more on a legit story and character move specials instead. Multiplayer, the biggest reason to get the game, will also return. The game will be released on the PS3 and 360 (it will not be released on the Wii or DS cause those versions were bad compared to the other two consoles, and the PC version will not happen due to low sales, despite how big the first game's multiplayer got)

Here is a new trailer, it doesn't show much but a few gameplay scenes can be seen:

The REAL reason why the Bioshock movie struggles + Fan made epic short

It was depressing enough to find out that Gore Verbinski quit as Director back in 2011, But it's even more depressing to recently find out that director, Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, also canceled the project. Want to find out more? Visit GeekFLIX to learn more behind this struggle.

On the Bright side, Machinima has recently released a 6 minute short story that revolves around the world of rapture. It tells about the New Years bombing incident (for those who don't know, the New Years bombing incident was one of the starting points for the Andrew Ryan/Fontaine war in rapture that involved rapture citizens causing flooding in various locations of the city, which lead to an increase of splicers and the destruction of the city through anarchy. Also the new years party that night was a masquerade party, why do you think those certain splicers wear those creepy masks?) for being a fan made short, it is much better than many theatrical films! Check it out below:

Prey 2 Delayed

[UPDATE]
Bethesda has confirmed this morning that Prey 2 is not cancelled, but has been delayed. Here's what they said:
Development of Prey 2 has not been cancelled but the game will not be released in 2012 as planned. The delay is due to the fact that game development has not progressed satisfactorily this past year, and the game does not currently meet our quality standards. Prey 2 has shown great promise and we regret disappointing our fans. We have made a substantial investment in game development to deliver the experience fans want. We are determined only to release the AAA game that fans rightfully expect, and are unwilling to compromise our quality standards to meet a release schedule.
It's good to see that a great looking game like this isn't getting thrown on the scrap heap. If all goes well, we'll see Prey 2 on store shelves in 2013.

[ORIGINAL POST]
This rumor has been floating around in a few people's minds for a while. It all started with Zenimax pulling information about Prey 2 was withdrawn from this year's GDC.

The rumor is becoming more possible with today's reveal from Dutch gaming site PS Focus. According to their inside source, Bethesda will announce the cancellation next week. There is a possibility this isn't true, and I'm hoping it isn't. I've been incredibly excited for this game ever since they showed the game in motion last E3.

I'm not the only one excited. There have been many sites that have had good things to say about, including 4Player Podcast who gave it their Game of the Show award last year. It's a shame to see such a promising title possibly not seeing the light of day. We'll update when Bethesda makes their announcement next week. Here's some gameplay of Prey 2:

Bioshock Infinite's heavy hitters part 3: the silence of you!

Bioshock keeps getting us more and more pumped with its release in October. You think you know everything that is in this game? No you don't. This part 3 video now shows off another new enemy that we've never seen before, possibly the creepiest by far. Note: those who want to keep as much secret as possible shouldn't watch this, but Kevin Levin is pretty good at keeping things secret.

the Walking Dead game's new footage on a Stupid video

Won't show the video, because it's on Ign's up at noon and it's a horrible show and because the video footage of the walking dead game showed nothing really. But many details have submerged from an interview with a game editor.
  • The game will be an extreme M rating, everything that they thought would be too gory or too extreme to be in an M game, they put it in!
  • The game is not based on the TV show, but like the TV show they made their own adaptation of the original graphic novel
  • The game will be split into three episodes, the first episode will come out in April with the last two closley coming out afterwords

Things to note on

Here are some gaming things to note on:

- Mass Effect fans complaining about the ending of the third that Bioware has worked incredibly hard on to bring out to the public... SHUT THE &%$# UP!

There, this was things to note on :)

No new Xbox at E3 this year

Microsoft has confirmed that there new Xbox, nicknamed project Durango, will not make an appearance or any mention at E3 this year. I guess we'll all just have to get excited for just Wii U for now. However, rumors are now slowly spreading that both the new Xbox (Project Durango or 720 like expected) and the new Playstation (most likley PS4) will make an appearance at E3 2013...

Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 cover art revealed + rumors

With the games coming out later this year, we now have a look at the new cover art for these new sequels. And they are the coolest covers I've ever seen for a Pokemon title:

This time, the black one is on the black game and the white one is on the white game (Zekrom was on the white cover and Reshiram on the black in the previous titles). Also, for black 2 there's a blue color tone to it, with electric bolts in the background, indicating that this Pokemon will be an electric/ice type (I hope so, it would be the very first electric/ice type in existence!). the white cover shows a red color tone, with fire blazing in the background much similar to the lightning on the other one, Indicating this one to possibly be a fire/ice type (would simply be amazing). Both covers also show gray color tones (hint that both games together is really gray version?) the gray tones signify Kyurem's influence. It's also interesting to point out that both Pokemon are shown absorbing power beams of some sort that are emitting from their tails... why?

It has now been proven that these are ACTUAL sequels to Black and White, meaning that if you bought black version then you'll have to buy Black 2 in order to understand the continuation. There is also a huge rumor that perhaps these new legendaries will, for the first time ever, actually have THREE types (for example: one may be Dragon/electric/ice type while the other is Dragon/fire/ice). And, given that the fusion theme may be true, there could be other Pokemon fusions (Imagine fusing Charizard with Blastoise 0_0).

We'll be pretty excited for when this game comes out...

new Bioshock Infinite video: learn about the Handy men

Speaking of Handy men (from the last post):

Game screenshot analysis for Spider-man, Fall of Cybertron, and Bioshock Infinite

Why am I doing this? Because i'm Bored XD, but I do think that it will be interesting to at least someone. Screenshots can teach us more of what to expect in a game, gameplay and trailers are usually too quick and too intense for you to notice much.

the Amazing Spider-man (June 26th)

  1.  Comic-true costume: the costume that is new to the movie will also be in the game, and it is awesome. The reason for the change is to bring out the character of Peter Parker, knowing the real Peter Parker in the comics. Peter in real life would have easily made a costume as cool as this. Sorry Toby (from Sam Raimi's spidey trilogy), but this Spider-man isn't a weak emotional cry baby. This one is exactly like his comic counterpart, a Bad@$$ annoying smart@$$.
  2. Photo realistic: the Beenox development team is attempting to make this game more realistic, and so far it does. The game is based on a movie, but usually movie based games never have effort put in to them due to development time. But this game seems to be getting more and more effort by the minute. Let's just hope that the same Photo realism will continue to stay.
  3. Athletic shoes?: take a good look at those shoes, notice anything? They are actual shoes! not the corny feet slip-ons that come with the tights. This could be due to this Spider-man having more of a "parkour" aspect than just swinging on webs.
  4. Utility belt: This version now has a utility belt. Many have joked that it'll be a Batman utility belt rip-off, but I doubt the belt will actually hold much. Remember, this Spidey uses web cartridges and he has to put the ammo somewhere.
  5. Cool gloves and Web cartridges: speaking of web cartridge, look at how cool and comic true it is as well as the new glove designs. It's going to be hugely interesting to see how this new feature will play out in both the movie and game. But how will this function work in the game? will it still be unlimited for game purposes or will there actually be an ammo unit that can drain and requires you to refill every now and then? Can you imagine swinging atop buildings and having your cartridge drain out midswing? That would suck! (in real life).
Transformers: Fall of Cybertron (Fall 2012)

  1.  Dinobots are HUGE: It's now obvious that the iconic Dinobots will have a size advantage over any other character (except Bruticus). High moon said that the game play for these characters will be Hugely interesting and Hugely entertaining. Who wouldn't want to play as a fire breathing (yes, they breath fire) Dinosaurs who can transform into Titans that destroying everything with Mideval weapondry?
  2. Shockwave: Personally, Shockwave is my most favorite character in the transformers universe but he is also an important character. Being the co-leader of the Decepticons and the guardian of Cybertron, as well as an inventor and brain washer, Shockwave makes to be an excellent enemy. And besides, he made the Dinobots so without him there would be no Dino's.
  3. The Torture chamber: Turns out that Shockwave's secret chamber will also be introduced. In a famous Marvel comic (not spoilers) Shockwave discovered the power that the Dinosaurs had on earth nearly 6 million years ago. He wondered how Cybertronians could have such power. So, being a sick twisted perfectionist, he kidnapped a small group of Autobots and reconfigured them to have Dinosaur alternate modes, and also brain washed them in hopes to create an army of what he called "Dinobots". The experimentation issue could play a huge role in the games story.
  4. No cannon arm: there are three things that make Shockwave iconic: his cyclopian eye, purple color scheme, and his gun arm. Where is his gun arm? well, given the fact that characters are able to use multiple different guns and weapons, it would be kinda stupid for Shocky to use one big gun the entire time. Some may get disappointed by this, but it was revealed that each character has a unique perk (for example: Jazz can use a grapple gun to climb structures) so maybe Shockwave's perk is using a strong gun arm?

Bioshock Infinite (October 16th)

  1.   Meet the HandyMen: originally called the "Alphas" during production stages, the handymen are one of the new heavy hitters promised to give you a fight of a lifetime. These enemies will act as mini bosses, who are able to jump incredibly high and will not leave you alone until you destroy them for good. Kevin Levine said that each Handy men will have their own unique look and their own origin stories to how they became Handy men. Try to run away from these guys, they are capable of throwing any nearby objects, even foes and allies, at you and will never miss.
  2. Heart of a monster: these mini bosses are not mindless machines, they have a heart (joking aside). But could these hearts be the key to stopping these monstrosities? I mean, there just sitting there on the chest in plain view.
  3. Hand whackage: Nothing of a reveal here, but it's gonna hurt to be punched or slapped by those things!

Amazing Spider-man game will take ques from the Batman Arkham games / New trailer featuring another villain

When it comes to superhero video games, everyone knows that the Batman Arkham games have been the best by far, is it time for other superhero games to learn from Batman's success? Beenox and Activision seem to think so.

It has been said by the creators of the soon to come movie tie-in game "the Amazing Spider-man" that they are taking ideas and learning from the Batman games. They will attempt to also make each Spider-man villain "unique" and "unforgettable". Adding more of the realistic sense into character designs instead of the typical corny comic looks, that should only stay in the comics. They want to have a similar beat'em up game too, and they want to bring something new to swinging from building to building.

Here's a new trailer, and it introduces another villain named "Iguana". Iguana is not one of the more popular Spidey villains, he is similar to the Lizard but he cannot change from creature to human like the Lizard can. Another idea from Batman, cause Batman also introduced lesser known villains.

The Amazing Spider-man game comes out in June, it will interestingly tell the events of what happens AFTER the movie :0

More legit Assassin's creed III information and concept art

Here's what we know about the next Assassin's creed game: we know that the new Assassin is named Connor, he is half white (from his fathers side) and half native american (from his mothers side) and has been raised in his mother's Mohawk tribe. Something happens to his tribe which sets him off on his journey, We'll see him as a boy who eventually becomes a true Assassin, but unlike Ezio who needed three games to do this, we will See Connor start and complete his journey in this one game alone. The game will also jump into different time periods of Connors life, some that may take place ten years later.

You'll be able to use guns now. And it is believed that a hatchet will replace the hidden blade mechanic but it's not confirmed yet. You'll be able to visit towns like Boston (perhaps even a Boston tea Party sequence!?) and "old" new york. George Washington will have a Huge role in this game and will have various interactions with Connor, they know each other very well but how or why is unclear. Benjamin Franklin will NOT be the Leonardo Da'vinci Persona to make Connors gadgets, like many believed, but he will be in the game and will show his political influence. The game will also go through major seasonal changes, from drastic blizzards to desert dead summers. You'll be able to not only climb trees, but also mountain sides and various other natural structures, think "Native" in a sense.

Here are some concept designs for what to expect:

(Connor as a young boy in the Mohawk Tribe)

Silent Hill Downpour: Game reviewers critisize but why do the real fans love it?

Silent Hill Downpour came out today, a spin-off to the game franchise that attempts to introduce new characters into the familiar realm, and reviews from various game critics have come into play. But it ain't pretty.

Gameinformer gave it a 7 / 10, stating that the controls are clunky and frustrating at best. And IGN gave it a sad 4.5 / 10 saying that the game has no good scares and is a huge disappointment... HOWEVER, many other fans and "normal" people have shown to actually enjoy the game. Many of which loved "how the game shows the eerieness of the creepy town of silent hill, and how cool the illusion scenes are." These people say that this is the best thing to happen since the not-so-great Silent Hill: Homecoming.

But who should we believe? Usually the fans are just clouded by their own obsessions to love any game entry in their favorite franchise, no matter how bad. But then again, game critics have also disliked Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, which in our opinion was one of the greatest game they've made.

Someone's Trollin with the Metacritic reviews for Mass Effect 3

Someone online is making negative metacritic reviews for some stupid reason. This person needs to be hunted down, for the game has already done amazing. (Gameinformer = 10/10, IGN = 9.5/10, etc.)

Microsoft: XboxL arcade will eventually die, but not for a while.

Michael Wolf indicates that the Arcade will eventually "Phase out" while digital distribution continues to expand.

In an interview with Vox Games, Wolf, Microsoft's global marketing manager for XBLA, said that the service might eventually be taken down due to the increasingly blurred line between large-scale retail games and ambitious XBLA games.

When asked if XBLA would eventually be phased out of existence, Wolf answered, "Personally, I'd say absolutely, yes. I think digital distribution has to be like that. I don't think XBLA will be leaving soon. It is an incredible platform. We have XBLA fans, I don't think it's going to be announced anytime soon. One thing Microsoft has proven is that we continue to try and adapt and innovate in experiences."

However, he reported back to Xbox fans by saying:
“Xbox LIVE Arcade is and will continue to be the premier destination for quality downloadable games at a great value, boasting an ever-growing, eclectic library of hundreds of games, spanning every genre. We are committed to providing new downloadable games for Xbox 360 and continuing our work with 1st and 3rd party developers on the platform. We have no plans to dissolve the service at this time.”

So the arcade will still be around for as long as it needs to, but many people believe that it will be gone sooner than you think. Especially since Microsoft will more than likely be introducing the new Xbox console this year. But what will really happen? And again, do we REALLY need new consoles this and next year???

a Valve home console may actually be a reality!?

Valve hinted months ago that they would make a console if it needed to be done, but now it seems rumors are hinting towards this as being true.

TheVerge.com has uncovered a number of  difficult to verify, but believable rumors that all point to Valve entering the hardware race very soon. Apparently, Valve is working on spec hardware and software that other manufacturers would be able to license that will play PC games and support the Steam distribution system. Valve would be designing the hardware and software, but other companies would be producing it, sort of along the lines of DVD player technology. This would make Valve's hardware an open system much like what Google has been doing with Android phones. There are rumors that Alienware has already begun designing early prototypes.

The system will be open to many assorted controller inputs, but Valve filed a patent last year for a customizable controller with swappable control sticks, so it's likely that something like that would be the controller that would be included with the system.
The system is also rumored to incorporate biometric scanning at feedback, meaning Valve's system could be monitoring things like where the player is looking and what their pulse rate is, and incorporate that data into game design.

We may hear more about this at E3, but keep in mind that Valve has not entirely confirmed this and that this is still in rumor stages. But think about the major impact this would have in the gaming world, we would have to get used to "E4" then.

Darksiders II collectors and limited editions revealed

The game doesn't come out until June, but the Editions have already revealed themselves.
Here is the Collectors edition, it includes:
  • Life size Death mask with display stand
  • Darksiders 2 limited edition game

Assassin's Creed III trailer

The trailer was just released not too long ago, and there's even a nifty Best Buy pre-order deal in talks:

EDIT: It has also been confirmed that Assassin's Creed III will also come out for the Wii U, whenever the actual Wii U comes out that is. The game will come out for PS3, 360, PC, and Wii U on October 30th...

Have you ever wanted to play as Legendary Marvel creator Stan Lee? Well now you can!

Well known Marvel founder Stan Lee, who created a huge majority of the Marvel heroes and has made a cameo appearance in almost every Marvel movie (and also famous for inventing the term "Nuff said"), will actually be playable in the upcoming Amazing Spider-man game. It is unknown still if he himself will actually be playable or if he's just a character skin for Spidey, but either way it's awesome. And for those who complain, Screw you! This is freaking Stan Lee man!!!!

Bioshock Infinite gets a release date!!!!!!!

While expected to come out this year in February, which we know never happened, it was delayed to an unknown date. But now we know it's official release date, and it ain't too long of a wait! The game will come out for PS3, 360, and the PC on October 16th, which will give us enough time to save money and get re-pumped again. It also comes out before the major November game release month but will have to compete against some other fall releases like Aliens: Colonial Marines and Transformers Fall of Cybertron, but it will most likley out beat those two titles no matter how good, better, or different each game is :).

UPDATE: GameInformer pretty much confirms Assassin's Creed III character is real

These pictures for their April magazine release says it all:
So no more speculation, the next Assassin game, and the potential final game for Desmund, will take place in America...
