Silent Hill Downpour: Game reviewers critisize but why do the real fans love it?

Silent Hill Downpour came out today, a spin-off to the game franchise that attempts to introduce new characters into the familiar realm, and reviews from various game critics have come into play. But it ain't pretty.

Gameinformer gave it a 7 / 10, stating that the controls are clunky and frustrating at best. And IGN gave it a sad 4.5 / 10 saying that the game has no good scares and is a huge disappointment... HOWEVER, many other fans and "normal" people have shown to actually enjoy the game. Many of which loved "how the game shows the eerieness of the creepy town of silent hill, and how cool the illusion scenes are." These people say that this is the best thing to happen since the not-so-great Silent Hill: Homecoming.

But who should we believe? Usually the fans are just clouded by their own obsessions to love any game entry in their favorite franchise, no matter how bad. But then again, game critics have also disliked Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, which in our opinion was one of the greatest game they've made.
