We have a GeekBeerz Meeting heading our way! Ask us Questions! + Give us Ideas!

Logo's (2011-2013)
We once in a while have these big meetings, this is when we know something needs to improve and where we make a plan or plans to actually, you know, make those plans work.

And while we are very much capable of producing our own plans, we still like to know what everyone else would like to see happen, any idea can be put into consideration. We would also like to get questions if anyone has any. We are not fools and we know the site has been kind of meh with only me and sometimes Geoff posting things. I'm pretty sure you guys would want a better explanation for what has been going down the last couple of months. So if any of you have any questions that aren't inappropriate or insulting, we would be honored to answer them all.

Until next time...

TAG Comic Book update #2

Hey people who visit the site, hard at work and hardly working.

Well not so much free time now since College has started up again. But I felt as though I needed to write some kind of update for the comic series I'm working on since I have been rather quiet about it lately. So whether this matters to you or not I really don't care, I'm doing an update anyways.

TMNT VS the Guardians of the Galaxy

Following yesterdays announcement, the Liebesman/Bay Ninja Turtles reboot film has been pushed back. Now instead of releasing in June, it will release August 8th 2014.

This was made so that Bay's other film, Transformers 4, wouldn't have to compete with the turtles (maybe because Godzilla comes out that June as well). However now the film has to compete with Marvels Guardians film which releases a week earlier on August 1st.

Which will win? Turtles has a fan base on its side but the film decisions made for this reboot has pissed fans off to the bone, Guardians has the whole MCU on its side and Disney to advertise but it is a new story with lesser known heroes. I can personally say that Guardians is looking absolutely promising, but mostly because we have gotten leaked footage and information. So who knows? White Shredder or a Talking Raccoon with a Cockney accent? You decide.

The Wolverine Quickie Review

The Badger with claws returns...

Story:
Wolverine returns in a sequel-spin off film that doesn't hurt as bad as X Men Origins: Wolverine, basically the Wolverine we've been waiting for.

 Cast:
While Hugh Jackman may be the only familiar face in the film, every other actor does their parts fairly well.

Effects:
This isn't a cgi heavy film like most movies nowadays. However, when there is cgi, it does seem to work well. Silver Samurai in particular looked good in my opinion.

 Entertainment Value:
No like the original X Men trilogy, but certainly not like the Origins film either, Wolverine is THE Wolverine we've been waiting for!

Final Rating:
8.5/10

Pacific Rim Quickie Review

When Optimus and Godzilla have a baby

Story:
Mankind makes Giant Machines to fight Giant Monsters in this apocalyptic epic made by the dude who brought us Pans Labyrinth and Hellboy.

Cast:
Actors were great, not Oscar amazing but great. Some seemed to be a little over the top with their acting but never bugged much. Ron Perlman's little role was good too.

Effects:
Considering that some stuff was actually made on set and not computer generated, and also the fact that I could never tell the difference between the two, this film has set the next level of Monster Movie effects to the highest possible setting for this generation! This is probably where the film shines best.

Entertainment Value:
Some parts are slow and the film isn't a constant action sequence, but the parts that are action sequences are by far some of the best things this summer! This movie will keep us entertained until Godzilla comes out next year!

Final Rating:
9.0/10

Should our TOP 5 thing be as Videos or part of the Podcast?

Yep, still no Podcast for our new Podcast thing (blame Geoff), however the new series still needs tweaks and preparation until we can actually do it.

One of our new things is GBP's Top 5. The new thing speaks for itself, it's where we each individually give our own top five favorites from a platoon of topics, whether it be Superheroes, Villains, Food, Comedy films, Sci-fi epics, Games, Books, and many other things.

While we were going to intentionally do it in our first episode, we are now wondering if it would actually work in our podcast at all. But we would love to do it so how exactly can this work.

Then it hit me, we can start making videos about it! The last time we made videos we had a good time, until I made one stinker and the whole idea came crashing down... for me anyways. But what if we did something new? Something easier to make work?

Please comment on the idea, we really do enjoy getting comments from you guys! I'll also try to put up a poll.

MEGA MEGA Poke-MEGA!!!

As strange and Digimon-ish as it sounds, it seems as though Pokemon will no longer be stopping at a third evolution, to an extent.
