Sony in no rush to bring the PS4, Microsoft will not release the 720 in 2012

To continue more off of the older post involving the PS4 not showing at E3 2012, Turns out that it's not just because they think the PS3 can last, it's because they are in NO RUSH!

Sony says the PlayStation 4 will likely be the final next-generation console to be revealed. In a new interview, Sony France CEO Philippe Cardon explains that the company is in no rush to reveal its plans for the PS4, and that its situation is different than its competitors.

"The Wii is under time pressure because it's in decline," Cardon told French site Lepoint.fr. "As far as we're concerned, we're under a lot less pressure. We were the last to release the PS3. We will probably be the last to announce something."

This should not concern, the PS3 was indeed the last released of the now gen-consoles and look how it has evolved over the last many years. And for those who believe that Sony will just copy off from what they see Microsoft and Nintendo do, Check this out:

PS1 - First console to use CD's

PS2 - First console to use DVD's

EYETOY - First motion controlled accessory

PS3 - First console to use Blu-Ray's

Now we're not gonna play favorites here, because we here at GeekBeerz believe it's the games that matter and not what the games are being played on, but we wish to stop this console war nonsense once and for all. (p.s. sure Sony took the PSmove idea from the Wii, but Microsoft took the idea of Kinect from Playstation's Eyetoy, And Wii U will take the idea of using HD from both, so again what's the big deal???)

For other news, Microsoft has Revealed that the Xbox 720 will not be released in 2012:

"We're in an industry that talks a lot, that likes telling stories," Delmas told French site Lepoint.fr. "I am not convinced that things will happen this year. The Xbox 360's cycle is not over at all. The proof is that we haven't price cut this year. Afterward, what will happen at E3, it's still too early to say. What's certain is that there will be nothing new in 2012."

"If we wanted to counter Nintendo, we would have to be in a position to release something immediately, and that is not at all the case," Delmas said. "We're not here to counter Nintendo and they're not here to fight the other manufacturers. Nintendo has put itself in a different cycle. It's going forward to its own rhythm, with success as we have seen with the Wii, and now it's their turn to present their innovation."
Now we would be sad, if we didn't think it was a good idea, but we do believe it's a good idea. Like we've said, we have just seen the PS3 and 360 at their highest potential. Are we really quite sure that we're ready for "What will be" instead of "What is now"?

On the brightside, Nintendo says that the Wii U will be available in 2012 XD.
