While Sony has no concerns yet for the Vita, the low sales in Japan might make things a bit bumpy for the American release. But perhaps this bit of news should get things more interesting again. If you download new Vita games, they will be cheaper then if you buy them at a regular store!
"There will be a discount," Sony said. "Exact details will be revealed in the very near future." A user on NeoGAF published a screenshot of Best Buy's release list that shows download games will be $5 cheaper than retail copies, but that price reduction has not been confirmed by Sony.
In Japan, digital Vita games already carry a discount in price - nearly $10. so this seems to be very legit. Remember, the PSVITA comes out on February 22nd in North America...
