It would be a long development, and all of our efforts would be needed, but a majority of us are more than willing to do something like this. Questions are how, what, when, where, and why.
What would the game be?
Idea was brought up only by Tom [me] and Geoff, leaving Shrew and Bergy in the shadows. We'll bring up the larger view of the idea personally to them sometime.
When and why?
It would have to be soon if ever. It would possibly turn out to be a swap-turn project where one person will work on it for a substantial amount of time them eventually give it to someone else to work on. Another idea is specific projects per person, technically a art, animation, sound, and specs guy.
Why? Well why not? It wouldn't be too hard, it's not like we're leaning towards a console game. It would simply be a fun friend project that we hope, in long time, will eventually be praised.
How is unclear, we'll have to figure that out ourselves...

Are you freaking kiddding me! It's a terrible idea, not in the sense that a game wouldnt be great, but it would distract them from their current projects, wait until you finish them, then work on a game, since game development takes a long time!

DeleteI think it would be a worthwhile investment, despite what my fellow "Anonymous" forum members (show some class, I know it's a pain, but take the time to add your name everyone) might all think. As from what we all understand, you're just starting out. Working on a game might branch out your popularity to others, not just podcast addicts. I personally am a sucker for newbie attempts, believe the little man can out throw the new guy. Despite some minor issues, you all have positional. Always remember to prioritize, too many projects will cause you to fail. Good luck to you all, I'll be sure to watch the progress!
ReplyDeleteThanks very much Mr. Blitz, we are indeed Newbies. We did start out as a blog called VGPastCast but we completely failed with that, and we hope never to make those same mistakes again. Popularity is nice, but that's not why we wanted to create GeekBeerz, we're just four best friends who enjoy doing this stuff and want to bring our opinions to the internet via podcasts and posts. However, it's good to know that we are getting some attention now. Again, thanks very much.
