No Director's Cut for the Blu-ray release of the Dark Knight Rises

The rumor speculation for the Dark Knight Rises getting a Director's Cut has been rather ridiculous lately. But now we finally know that this is not going to happen.

The originally story was that a longer version of the film would be released on Blu-ray, which would go more in depth with story elements that are left for the viewer to question. For example, the idea was that we'd get to see more origin story of the film's main villain Bane. While having deleted scenes is still a possibility, having cut scenes in the actual film is not going to happen.

No a big deal. The director, Christopher Nolan, is not fond of making Director Cuts of any of his films. We here at GeekBeerz believe the movie is good enough as is, plus the movie is already three hours something long, do we really want to watch something longer than that? (sadly we would like to watch more Batman, especially Bergy).

Diablo III for... PS3!?

German retailers keep listing a PS3 version of the epic Diablo III game for pre-order, could this actually be something revealed at E3?

Blizzard has given interest into bringing their games onto consoles, especially this one, and also they've hired new employees for a "special" project not too long ago. This could be a hoax, but is it really? Sony has made no confirmation cause they don't answer anything that's rumor or speculation, at least not until those rumors and speculations are proven more so. If it is true, the German retailers list it as being only available for PS3, as a console form of course. This would also make Sony loads of money, since this is a huge game trilogy and Sony would need the money.

So what are everyone's thoughts? Is this a good idea or something uninteresting?

E3 2012 reveals- PART 3

Continuing our big E3 coverage...

DEAD SPACE 3 TEASER TRAILER

The game was already revealed and covered in our part 1 coverage, but now we have a teaser trailer and confirmation that the co-op partner is indeed John Carver! (warning: some language)

Game comes out February 2013, a lot of games are... My wallet is going to hate me.

ASSASSIN'S CREED III

Finally we can climb trees! Seems like a downgrade from being able to climb towers and massive buildings in the last four games, but it really isn't. The first gameplay trailer shows off how you can hunt, climb mountains and trees, and many of the cool new fighting techniques that will easily make this game on to keep an eye on.

The second trailer shows off how you can travel in ships and command them as a captain. This trailer in honest opinion is visually stunning.

The game comes out October 31st 2012, even fall will hurt my wallet...

THE LAST OF US

Here is Naughty Dog's next big game, I'm glad that they're giving Uncharted a break. To those who worry, this next game will be nothing like Uncharted other then amazing graphics. This is also very different from all other zombie-apocalypse type games. This will also be Naughty Dog's first majorly mature game since forever (almost all of Naughty Dogs games have been essentially T rated). Watch the gameplay trailer below (Warning: lots of strong language)

This game possibly releases this year, presumably December...

E3 2012 reveals- PART 1

E3 doesn't unveil until tomorrow, but a butt load of games have already made their reveal for their presence at this year's E3.

DEAD SPACE 3

Yep, the rumors and speculations were true. The next story for Isaac Clarke, and possibly his last, will officially make it's reveal at E3 on Monday. The rumors of the game taking place on an ice planet were also true, for the story involves Isaac crash landing on the planet accidentally when heading for earth after the events of Dead Space 2. He eventually teams up with a friend [speculation believes this friend will be John Carver from the animated short] and both attempt to find a way off the planet.
Turns out that the game does have on and off co-op, meaning that the story either progress with another protagonist or it doesn't. Even cutscenes and many story elements will be changed depending on whether the game mode is co-op or not. It's great that you have the choice of scaring yourself solo, or to have a buddy around to get scared also.
Yes, of course the freakin Necromorphs are back! Do we even have to question it? Ane yes there are many new types of Necromorph including taller and older versions of the pack, and a creature with legs and tentacles emitting from it's torso. But those aren't the only enemies you fight.
For the first time ever in Dead Space, there will actually be Human enemies! who also have rigs, plasma cutters, and special grenades. It's even  more terrifying when you have to kill the same person twice, some of these human enemies turn into Necromorphs right after you kill them.
Stay tuned for Monday when they reveal more about the game, and hopefully a release date and gameplay trailer, heck a cinematic trailer would be great too!

CASTLEVANIA: LORDS OF SHADOW 2

The first game was surprisingly appraised by Gameinformer, IGN, and other review sites, despite it being very different from the traditional Castlevania games. As for the fans, it's a mix of all sorts of feelings. Either way it turns out that there will be a sequel, and possibly the last Lords of Shadow game in the very short saga.
The game will once again star Gabriel, who starts off his story right after the events of the first game. Not much else is revealed yet other then the release date, which is March 2013, but who is that at the end of the trailer? Alucard??? Watch below:

More game details will hopefully emerge sometime this upcoming week...

TOMB RAIDER

The one game that many anticipate, but many also worry about. The Tomb Raider origin game has finally shown some really intriguing gameplay and story details that might even make non fans interested.
Ever wondered if Lara Croft really loves Tombs? Ever wondered who her first Kill was? Then check out the cool Gameplay trailer below:

The graphics are obviously very impressive, as good as the freaking Uncharted games! And the story will have a lot of mystery to it... Obviously. Square Enix personally has my faith in it, how about yours? The game comes out on March 5th 2013.

New Dead Space graphic novel hints at clues for the next game

As many know, a new Dead Space game is suppose to reveal at this years E3, and many believe it's Dead Space 3. A new graphic novel short however hints at just what the next story will be.

The comic covers a new character named Sergeant John Carver as he patrols on planet Uxor. There is a Marker involved, some monsters, and loved ones in immediate danger. Is this just a teaser for a new novel series, or an actual hint towards the next game? Rumors also say that this character might be the Co-op partner of Isaac Clarke in Dead Space 3, which is still rumored to possibly have on and off Co-op.

NEWS: Crysis 3 basically confirmed by EA

Through an unexpected surprise, EA has "accidentally" released a Banner for Crysis 3 earlier on their digital store today. It is off now but the image has already spread across the web like wildfire:

EA already made a statement about this little reveal, stating that "the best kept secrets in shooters just simply can't be contained". They also assured us to expect more info on April 16th.

The first game was an excellent, and well beloved, sandbox shooter for the PC, the second one was a great and worthy sequel that expanded the story to unexpected lengths. We can expect the third to be just as good. So is anyone excited about this announcement? Does this make any newbies want to get into the Crysis franchise?
