Everything we Know about Pokemon X and Y

Pokemon X and Y will release on October 12th. Unlike the last released games, which have only changed through graphics and Pokemon respectively, this one is going to revolutionize Pokemon into something we never saw coming, and that's a good thing! But what do we know so far about this first Main game Pokemon 3DS release?

Pokemon X and Y, more info than the previous post.

Ok, the post title is lame. But we now have more info on what was revealed last weekend from CoroCoro. Again thanks to Serebii.net for the information.

First of all, here's the English box covers below:

The four Pokemon revealed now have their official English names too! The lizard pokemon is now Helioptile, the bird pokemon is now Fletchling, the panda pokemon is now Pancham, and the goat pokemon will keep it's same Japanese name of Gogoat. The Miare city that was mentioned in the last post, where you can ride your Gogoat, has also been renamed in English to Lumiose city. And the moves Parting remark and Parabola Charge are now Parting "Shot" and "Parabolic" Charge. And last but not least, Karos Region is now officially Kalos Region in English. Other news confirms that you can also get new outfits and accessories for your trainer throughout the game too!

Also here is a new trailer below:

Ride a Goat in Pokemon X and Y!

We've gotten new starters, an Eeveelution, legendaries, and a new Mewtwo form. Now we get four new pokemon as well as a butt ton of information from CoroCoro.

CoroCoro revealed during the weekend that the new region of the sixth generation games is apparently the "Karos Region" and is an alternate pokemon version of France. You will also be able to better customize your playable pokemon trainer! Of course you can still choose between playing a boy or a girl, but now you can also choose things like hair color and skin tones!

The cover art for both versions of the game were also vaguely revealed, I say "vaguely" because the only images I can find or the covers are from the actually CoroCoro magazine and they can be quite difficult to see.

EDIT: I managed to find a larger image of the game cover arts, it is still not good quality and still from the CoroCoro magazine but with my weak photoshop skills I managed to crop out the two images from the other images from the magazine. Check it out below:

What the Crap is going on with Pokemon Black 2 and White2???

Conquest just recently came out and was fairly appraised, now next up are Game Freak's very first handheld main series sequels, Pokemon Black 2 and White 2.

What's new? they just announced that these two games will be coming out this year on October 7th! And through our silence about this game, many new creature forms have surfaced. Kyurem isn't the only one getting extreme makeovers.

Here is a picture of the legendary flying type Pokemon Tornadus, the similar creature to the right is his new sacred beast form. This form is technically not available within the game but through it's side game called Dream Radar. This form will be called the Therian form when it hits the states.
Here is the Electric legendary Thundurus, with his sacred beast form (Therian form) that is also only obtainable through Dream Radar.
Same thing goes for Landorus and his Sacred Beast form (Therian form)...
And then there's the Water/Fighting Legendary Keldeo. His form isn't too worth mentioning because there's not much of a change with it (hence the reason there is only one pic of him).
His Resolution form has him with a Larger mane and a Larger horn, aaaand that's it. However, in this form he can learn the move "Sacred Sword". How to obtain this form is still a mystery.

Be sure to look for the sequels on October 7th for the Original DS...

Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 gets a Cinematic intro

Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 come out in America sometime in Fall, but already they are making us get excited. Japan has just released this new Animated intro that goes through as course of various events. Sorry that it's in Japanese, but it is still easy to know what is happening. The best part is that this short intro alone is a hundred times better than the TV show!

Everything you need to know about Pokemon Conquest (a.k.a. + Nobunaga's Ambition)

Remember when we revealed Pokemon + Nobunaga's Ambition a while back? Well it is indeed coming to the US! But the name for America has been changed to Pokemon Conquest, and we ain't complainin!

But what are we to expect from this Pokemon entry? Surely this new turn that Gamefreak has attempted is reasonably questionable. Here is a list of what we already know about this:
  • the game is actually a Mix of two different franchises, one is Pokemon and the other is Nobunaga's Ambition which is a hugely popular RPG series in Japan.
  • the game takes place sometime in the past, long before the events of Pokemon Red and Blue, and takes place in a Mideval landscape known as the Ransei region which consists of 17 castles (or nations) each with Military commanders paired with specific pokemon.
  • your starter Pokemon will be an Eevee, a good starter that can evolve into one of seven different evolutions. But you can also befriend a variety of other Pokemon, not all 649 Pokemon are in the game but all the Pokemon in the game are handpicked specifically from each of the five generations.
  • Instead of playing as a trainer, you will play as a Warlord (specifically the "Hero") and your character will age and rank the more you play and strengthen him or her. The Warlords have unique types assigned to them which strengthens if you have a Pokemon of the same type by a special Link or Bondage that can be 100% linked to specific Pokemon. Each Warlord can have up to three Pokemon at a time, or three out per battle.
  • Nobunaga himself will appear as the main Warlord leader, second main next to your main protagonist, and he will have strong Pokemon companions such as Black Rayquaza and Zekrom.
  • as a side note, other Warlords will also age and rank as the game progresses.
  • there will also be warriors in the game, they are spread out randomly throughout the nations in Ransei region. Each will also have special links to specific Pokemon.
  • you will be able to unlock special episodes after defeating each Warlord, specifically Nobunaga, and you can also collect and befriend new warlords.
  • you can't exactly go into a bush and capture new Pokemon, but there will be an occasional swarm that will appear in various locations, when they are announced they will only stay for that specific month. Not many Pokemon are available in these swarms but many of them can evolve into powerful ones.
  • you can use six warriors per battle, and each can only use one Pokemon per battle.you decide which to choose in a battle by type advantage, movement abilities, and support.
  • Pokemon still evolve by leveling, but by the Link increase between you and your specific Pokemon. If your link level to that Pokemon is low, then it will take longer to evolve.
  • When a Warlord ranks, it is shown through an evolution-like process. When a Warlord evolves, their stats increase and they are able to befriend and raise even more Pokemon and even a different best link Pokemon.
  • you control up to six Pokemon in various combat scenarios, this is done via isometric view and is turn-based.
  • the game takes approximately 20 hours to complete. But many new missions appear at the end of the game that increases that time tenfold.
  • Overall, the goal is to befriend as many Pokemon and Warlords as you can in order to increase your army and take over the nations.

The game has already released in Japan last month, and will be released in America on June 18th

Everything you need to know about Pokemon Black 2 and White 2

Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 is shaping up to be excellent sequel games, and the first "legit" sequels that hasn't really happened in the main Pokemon handheld lineup. But what do we expect to get out of these games? Well what we do know is:
  • the games take two years after the events of the first two games, the Male and Female protagonists that you play as will be the same as in the first two, but they will be older and with different clothing and hairstyles.
  • these are true sequels to the last two games, meaning that you'll have to play Black 2 if you previously played Black in order to get what's going on.
  • the Pokemon shown on the front covers are actually two new forms of Kyurem (sorry, no fusion this time :( ) the forms are appropriately called "Black Kyurem" and "White Kyurem", these are kind of Kyurem's mock forms of the previous two Legendaries, Reshiram and Zekrom. Both are still Dragon/Ice type but Black Kyurem can also learn powerful Electric type moves and White Kyurem can learn powerful Fire type moves. Both will also learn a very powerful and unique attack that makes these two new Kyurems very different but awesome.
  • the Pokemon Meloetta will also, finally, show off its new form in these sequels as well. It is her pirouette form that was revealed back on Pokemon Black and White, but never available.
  • Gamefreak did announce there would be "New Pokemon" in this game, this could be nothing really other than new forms and such but you never know for sure.
  • new parts of the cities will be shown, and visually the games will look much different than the previous two titles.
  • Pokemon from the old generations will also be available to capture in the wild. This is very different since the first two games only had 5th generation Pokemon throughout the game until you beat the game. Old generation Pokemon revealed so far are Tyranitar, Eevee, Metagross, Mareep, Psyduck, Riolu, Arcanine, Weavile, and Lapras plus we can expect their evolutions to appear also. More will be revealed later on.
  • Above all else, the game will go for a much darker storyline.

Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 release in Japan on June 23rd, and in the US and Europe this coming Autumn...
